- Treatment of back and neck pain, using the McKenzie Method
The McKenzie Method
The McKenzie Method is a comprehensive approach to spinal health, trusted and used by practitioners all over the world. Our staff is expertly trained in the use of the McKenzie Method for the mechanical assessment, treatment and prevention of back and neck pain.
- Assessment: A thorough history and testing of movements categorizes the painful condition to determine the best treatment option. This well researched assessment has proven to be a reliable diagnostic tool and can determine the rehabilitation potential for the patient’s condition.
- Treatment: With an emphasis on education and active patient involvement, this step takes advantage of specific movements and forces to yield quick pain relief and restoration of function and independence. The patient learns to manage his/her own care and treat him/herself using the knowledge and tools we teach.
- Prevention: With experience and education, this self-management approach teaches the patient how to minimize recurrence and self manage if symptoms do return.
